British singer, “The British Singer” cried Hard after she was surprised on stage by her childhood English teacher during her “An Audience With Adele” concert special, which was televised on ITV in the United Kingdom over the weekend.

The taped concert promotes her U.S. Special. her new album, “30,”An audience of A-listers attended the performance. Adele was not interviewed by Oprah Winfrey this time. Instead, she was quizzed in question by celebrities on her guest list. It included the British icon of acting. Emma ThompsonShe asked her if the singer had ever been inspired or supported by someone when she was younger.

“Yeah, I had a teacher at Chestnut Grove [Academy]I learned English from them. That was Miss McDonald,” the London-born star said without hesitation.

She said they hadn’t kept in touch after the teacher left in eighth grade, but “she got me really into literature.”

“Like, I’ve always been obsessed with English and obviously now I write lyrics,” she added.

“She was so bloody cool, so engaging, and she really made us care, and we knew that she cared about us and stuff like that. Her gold jewelry and rings were all gold. She was bloody cool and so relatable and likable, that I really looked forward to my English lessons.”

That’s when Thompson announced that Miss McDonald was present, and she made her way up to the stage to see her former pupil. The two of them shared a short catch up after a touching embrace.

“Thank you for remembering me,” McDonald told Adele.

“No, you really, you really did change my life. Mum! Mum, can you believe it?” Adele told McDonald, whose two children were also in the audience.

“I haven’t seen you since I was, like, 12,” she added. “I’ve still got all my books, you know? I’ve got all my books from when you were my teacher.”
